- Sherrill Jane Easome, age 78, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on January 24, 2026. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved sister, whose kindness and faith touched all who knew her.
- Jane is lovingly remembered by her children, Alan Easome (Lindsey) of Mooresville, NC, and Ashley Keefe (Dan) of Herndon, VA. Her greatest joy was found in her three grandchildren, William, Jack, and Charlotte, whom she adored. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Everett (Jackie) of Myrtle Beach, SC.
- Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Aaron Edward Easome, and her brother, Mike Everett.
- Born and raised in Danville, Jane was the daughter of the late Earl Warren Everett and Ora Mabel Payne Everett. She dedicated many years to Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, working in Quality Assurance until her retirement in 2006. Jane was a faithful member of College Park Baptist Church, where she generously volunteered her time in various ministries.
- Jane’s love for flowers was evident in her beautifully maintained yard. She found joy in traveling, attending Bible studies, and sharing meals and activities with friends. Her warmth and generosity enriched the lives of those around her.
- A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 am at Townes Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Dr. Gary Tucker. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am, with a private graveside service to follow.
- In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to College Park Baptist Church (1104 S. Main Street, Danville, VA 24541), God’s Pit Crew (2499 N Main Street, Danville, VA 24540), or a charity of your choice.
