Ronald Stephen Wilkinson

Ronald Stephen Wilkinson of Ringgold, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 72.

Steve was born on July 17, 1953, a son of the late John Wister Wilkinson and Doris Arrington Wilkinson. A proud alumnus of Virginia Tech, Steve pursued a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. He was the owner and founder of Wilkinson Consulting and CPA, where he made significant contributions to the field. He was passionate about economic development and was involved in the local chamber of commerce, the DCC Educational Foundation, and the free clinic. His commitment to community service was evident in all he did.

In his leisure time, Steve enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and showing horses. He had a fondness for the beach, where he spent many happy moments with family and friends.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Margie Wilkinson; his loving daughter, Stephanie Wilkinson; and his adored granddaughter, Katherine Guill. He also leaves behind his siblings, Deborah Bass, Rhonda Day, Phil Wilkinson, and Lisa Wilkinson, along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Danville, VA, on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 am with Sheriff Mike Taylor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department.
