Patrick J. Wilder

Patrick J Wilder, 69 of Danville, VA passed away on March 14th, 2026. He was born on January 8th, 1957, in Jamestown, NY to the late Edwin J and Dorothy Jeanne (nee Nichols) Wilder

He was a 1974 graduate of Jamestown High School.

Patrick was an active member of his parish at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had served on the Finance Council.

Surviving are his wife Mary (nee Blood) Wilder, stepdaughter Colleen (Noah) Seitel, of Colleyville, TX, step sons Gregory (Donata) Worrell of Martinsville, VA, Patrick Worrell and companion Brianna Blank of Boston, NY, step grandchildren Caleb, Molly and Eli Seitel of Colleyville, TX.

A sister Joanne (Al) Schmidt, brothers William ( Patricia) Wilder and Joseph (Eva) Wilder, all of Texas, nieces Ryane Schupp, Morgan Wilder, Sidney Giesey ,Tiffany Cooper and nephew Jacob Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Michael Wilder.

Patrick had a career in hotel management followed by his love for travel as a semi-truck driver covering all 50 states and most of Canada totaling over a million miles.

Patrick had a great love for music and played in several bands over the years in New York, Florida and Texas and was an accomplished drummer, guitar player and vocalist. Most of all he was the kindest man you would ever meet and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held Monday March 23, 2026, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive friends prior to the mass from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the SPCA.
