Panayiota Zangoches Katsifos

Panayiota Zangoches Katsifos, 91, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away April 18, 2025. Born February 2nd, 1934, to the late Christ John and Poulia Zangoches, she was a graduate of George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia, and a member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.

A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Panayiota was proceeded in death by her husband of 65 years, Milton Katsifos. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Katsifos, Paula Moore, Daphne (Jeff) Turner; and grandchildren Kristopher Moore, Milton Moore, Alexandra (Paul) Fritz, and Erin Turner.

The funeral will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, April 25th at St. Peter’s Greek Orthodox church in Danville, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Greek Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 3392.
