Oscar David Hairston

Oscar David Hairston, affectionately known to friends and family as “OC,” passed away on January 20, 2026, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was 58 years old.

Born on July 7, 1967, in Danville, Virginia, David was the son of the late Jube Lee Hairston and Estelle Inge Hairston Adams. He was educated in the Pittsylvania County School system and went on to establish himself as a skilled tradesman in the roofing business.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle and Jube, as well as his two sisters, Brenda White and Crystal Hughes.

His memory will be cherished by his surviving siblings: brother Stewart Hairston (Carolyn) and sisters Debra Smith (James) and Vicky Robinson. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss his presence dearly.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday February 18, 2026 2:00 pm at Townes Memorial Chapel.
