Michael Clyde Scarce

Michael Clyde Scarce, 71, passed away on February 11, 2026. Michael was born on April 20, 1954, to the late Clyde and Elayne Scarce.

Mike studied at Danville Community College and graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelors degree. He worked as an assistant manager for Southeastern Associates and then The Daniel Group. Mike loved his job and what he did until he retired. 

Mike loved spending his spring breaks in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Including his parents Mike is predeceased by his wife Sally LaDage Scarce and son Matthew Scott Scarce (Caitlyn).

He is survived by his daughter Kristen LaDage Scarce, stepdaughter Delana Parker Lott and sister Deby Scarce Gildea (Sean). He also leaves behind his dog Lexi that was like a best friend.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Danville Cancer Association or Danville Humane Society.
