Mary Christina Thorburn Wright

Mary Christina Thorburn Wright, 89, of Danville, VA, died June 21, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1937, in McComb Mississippi to the late Edward Thorburn and Aleen Beard Thorburn.

Mary was a graduate of Tulane University, receiving a master’s in education. She taught for many years at Camden High School in South Carolina.

She is survived by her sons Dr. Edward Thorburn Wright (Cynthia) of Danville, VA and Dr. Andrew Beard Wright (Ann) of Little Rock, AR. Also surviving are grandchildren Elizabeth Margaret Wright, William Wesley Wright and Kaylin Christina Wright.
