Mary Parrott

Mary Elizabeth Hardy Parrott, 94, of Danville died on Monday, June 18, 2018. She was born in the Brosville Community of Pittsylvania County on August 23, 1923, the youngest child of Annie Owen and Jessie Robert Hardy.  In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Jones Parrott. She is survived by daughters Donna Pointer (Bill) and Beth Jones (Keevin); grandchildren Luna Terry (Chris), Joey Pointer (Dr. Ivy) and Maribeth Martin (Gideon); great-grandchildren Chandler, Liam and Cullom Pointer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Townes Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Susan Hannah officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Townes Funeral Home.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to God’s Pit Crew or to your favorite charity. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Parrott family.
