Linda Dianne Holley passed away on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on Tuesday, June 27th, 1950, in Virginia.
Linda's career was marked by her dedication and hard work. She served in various roles throughout her life at the Danville City School Board Office, Davis Storage, and a as a Supervisor at Yellow Freight. Her commitment to her work was matched by her passion for building relationships, particularly through her time delivering papers for the Danville Register and Bee and the Chatham Star Tribune. A woman of many talents, Linda enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, and cooking.
Linda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Roy C. Holley, III, her father, Bennie Jake May, Jr., her mother, Imogene May Dix, her brother, David Wayne May, and her sister, Sharon Tracy May. She shared a special bond with her grandmother, affectionately known as "Grandma Bolt," who played a significant role in her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelby Adkins-Clark and Stacey L. Spicer (Benjamin), her grandchildren, Presley D. Watlington, Robert C. Watlington, and Carson S. Clark, her brother, Darrell E. May, and her sisters, Susan E. Holland and Janice M. Comer.
At Linda's request there will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Danville Cancer society in her memory.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Townes Funeral Home and Crematory 215 West Main St., Danville, VA. 434-793-1211.
