Lillie Pruitt Lovelace

Lillie Pruitt Lovelace passed away on Thursday, October 29th, 2026, at the age of 71.

Lillie was born on Wednesday, August 10th, 1955, in Danville, VA, where she spent her life as a dedicated bus driver for the City of Danville. Lillie had a passion for watching classic TV shows and westerns, finding joy and comfort in the stories and characters that filled her screen.

Lillie is survived by her son, Jimi Love, and his wife, Jennifer; her daughter, Stephanie Lovelace; and her grandchildren, Madelyn Love, Lucas Love, and Zachary Lovelace, her sisters, Doris Pruitt and Nancy Pruitt, nieces and nephews Earl "Red" Pruitt, Leon Pruitt, Ann Wells, and Otis Pavlis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Thomas Pruitt and Annie Elizabeth Pruitt, as well as her brothers, Earl Pruitt, David Pruitt, and Thomas Pruitt, and her sister, Shirley Bradley.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Lillie's life will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Happy Home Church Cemetery, Ruffin, NC, with Pastor Steve Lamb officiating.
