Johnnie Mike Reynolds, 77, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Johnnie was born in Danville, Virginia on July 20, 1947, a son of the late Joseph Rankin Reynolds and Irene Melissa Bennett Reynolds. He served his country in the United States Army. Johnnie was a member of the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed being a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoyed playing golf at the Danville Golf Club and camping. He was a master gardener, and a talented painter, hunter, fisher, and historian. Johnnie was a devoted father and grandfather and had a passion for educating in many ways.

Johnnie married Joan Hudson Reynolds on November 21, 1970, who survives. They enjoyed almost 55 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife, Johnnie is survived by his children, John Michael Reynolds (Maria Kindt), Brandy Reynolds Collins (Michael), and Andrew Scott Reynolds (Amanda), his grandchildren, Ivy Marian Reynolds and Gavin Paul Reynolds, his step-grandchildren, Breanna Brogan, Amanda Collins, and Oliver Blain, his step-great-grandchildren, Ellee Brogan and Lily Brogan, his brother, Joey Reynolds, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Johnnie is predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Reynolds, and a sister, Judy Poythress.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at First Presbyterian Church in Danville, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
