Joan Elaine Forth

Joan Elaine Forth passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14th, 2025, at the age of 76, in Salem, Virginia.

Joan was born on Saturday, January 29th, 1949, in Madison, West Virginia, to the late John Winifred Green, Jr. and Virginia Lea Green. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Michael Green.

A dedicated and hardworking individual, Joan was the proud owner and operator of Joanie's Wallpaper and Painting Company, where she left a lasting impression on her community through her creativity and craftsmanship. Her passion for working, sewing, and crafts was evident in everything she did.

Joan is survived by her children, Richard Alan Forth (Tara), and Wendy Anania (Rick Fields); grandchildren, Connor Forth, Keaton Forth, Joey Anania, and Dino Anania; great-grandson, Greysen; sisters, Joyce Donley (Ron), and Jane Armstrong (Thomas), as well as five nieces and nephews.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 215 West Main St., Danville, VA 434-793-1211.
