Jeremy Scuteri, 44, of Durham, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Jeremy is survived by his beloved daughter, Hannah Scuteri, and her mother, Nichole Scuteri; his father, Michael (Paula) Scuteri; his sisters, Tina (Ronald) Wynne, Tanya (Brandon) Scuteri, Tricia Nelson; his stepsiblings Aaron Klos, Sarah Klos; his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Owen, Sophia, Gavin.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Nelson.
Jeremy grew up in Groton, New York, and later graduated from Sweet Home High School in Amherst, New York. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and later earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. During his time at RPI Jeremy was active in Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity, of which he became a life member.
Jeremy built a successful career as an electrical engineer at Epson Research and Development in Wappingers Falls, New York, then as a design engineer at Analog Devices in Greensboro/Durham, North Carolina.
Jeremy lived life with great energy and enthusiasm. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, learning to play the guitar, and spending time in his woodworking shop. His dedication to woodworking led him to build a workshop admired by many professional craftsmen, especially fellow woodworking enthusiasts at the North Carolina Woodworkers Association, of which he was a member. He enjoyed welcoming others into his shop to share his knowledge and especially cherished working alongside his daughter on various projects. Jeremy also enjoyed and shared the hobby of RC cars which created many fond memories for his family.
Jeremy was a curious, engaged learner in all his pursuits and relished attention to detail. He was drawn to spirited debates and had a passion for understanding many topics at the deepest level possible. Despite his struggles, Jeremy sought out beauty in the world around him, finding joy in nature, memorable sunsets, and a truly delicious piece of chocolate.
A private service will take place, at a later date, in Watkins Glen, New York.
