Jean Rush Jones

Jean Rush Jones, died peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the age of 96.

She was born in Eden, NC on December 29, 1929. She was married to Robert J. Jones, Sr. who passed away on July 25, 2018

Jean enjoyed painting, bridge, reading, and working puzzles. She was a member of the West Main Baptist Church and the Wednesday Club. She also served as a volunteer at Danville Memorial Hospital and the Danville Museum.

Jean is survived by her three children, Robert J. Jones, Jr. (Julia), Pamela J. Manning, and Kimberly Gregory, her grandchildren, Paige Wilkinson (Todd), Jerry R. Manning, Jr. (Blair), Rob Jones, and Hayden Jones, four great-grandchildren, and a very special niece, Bracken Erwin.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew.
