Janet Faye Hale Campbell

Janet Faye Hale Campbell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on March 7th, 1938, in Roanoke, VA, Janet was a cherished resident of Danville, VA, where she spent her life surrounded by family and friends.

A devoted homemaker, Janet dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. Her passion for cooking, singing, and traveling was well-known, and she had a particular fondness for the water and fine dining. Janet was an active member of The Flower Club and the Gabriella Garden Club, where she shared her love for gardening and flowers with her community.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Comena "Cathy" Burgess (Mike) and Donna Burki, her grandchildren, Jessica Abbott (Tommy), Melissa Burgess (Jonathan), Ross Burki (Tess), and Sarah Burki, as well as her great-grandchildren, Cassidy Brown and Lily Madeleine Burki. Janet also leaves behind her beloved niece, Kelli Mayhorn (Jon), and caregiver, Nancy Beasley, who Janet considered as a best friend and daughter.

Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Ross Campbell, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage since 1958. She was also preceded by her parents, Kelly Slemp Hale and Comena Maye Hale, as well as her brother, Jim Hale, and sister, Connie Hale.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Townes Funeral Home Chapel in Danville, VA, on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at Highland Burial Park in Danville, VA, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Apostle Shawn Stephens.
