Jane Carolyn Wilson Hill

Jane Carolyn Hill passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born on Saturday, June 7th, 1952, in Danville, VA, Jane was the daughter of the late James Swanson Wilson Sr. and Janie May McFarling Wilson. A woman of many talents and interests, Jane dedicated her professional life to serving as a Notary Public at Carter Bank & Trust. Her passions extended beyond her career; she found joy in traveling, gardening, knitting, sewing, and playing card games with family and friends.

Jane was the cherished wife of Deloss "Springer" Arthur Hill, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Their journey together began on April 10, 1973, and was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Jane is survived by her devoted husband, their daughter Janie-Lynn Hill, and four stepchildren. She was a proud grandmother to Warren Dakota Fitzgerald and was blessed with many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Jane is also survived by her brothers, James Swanson Wilson, Jr. (Susan) and Kenneth Bruce Wilson, as well as her nieces and nephew, Angie, Kori, Tess, and Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Swanson Wilson Sr. and Janie May McFarling Wilson.
