Gerald Lee Yeatts Jr.

Gerald Lee Yeatts Jr., age 50, passed away on May 13, 2025, at Mount Hermon Manor.

Born on September 14, 1974, Gerald was the beloved son of Debra Emerson Yeatts and Gerald Yeatts Sr.

He is survived by his parents; grandparents Louis and Nancy Emerson; his brother Josh Yeatts and wife Shannon; his aunt Darlene McBride; three nieces, three nephews; and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Curtis and Mary Yeatts and his uncle Steven Emerson.

Gerald loved music, especially the songs of Michael Jackson—Beat It was his favorite. He was a member of City of Hope Church in Chatham and found joy in creating music in unique ways, often by holding balls that made different sounds. He also had a special passion for magazines.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Townes Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
