Dr. Herbert Manry

Dr. Herbert Clifton Manry, 78, passed away on June 24, 2026. He was born on November 24, 1947 in Franklin, Virginia, to the late Herbert and Iris Beaux Manry.

Herb was a graduate of Southhampton High School, University of Richmond, MCV School of Dentistry and University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Manry started practicing oral surgery in Danville in 1983 and retired at the end of 2019.

He was a member of many oral surgery associations. He was a member of Danville Golf Club, The German Club, and Young Men’s Club. He was also former chairman of Danville Planning Commission and former scout master of troop 300.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Manry, children; Charlie Manry (Amber), Becky Lovelace, Katie Villamera (Sergei), Amanda Escobar (Hector), stepson Scott Martin, grandchildren Victoria, Maya, Logan, and Morgan, his sisters, Carol Pope (Bobby) and Elanor Henson (David), and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday June 29, 2026 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Townes Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
