Dorothy Louise Vaden

Dorothy Louise Caudle Vaden of 123 River Oak Drive, age 89, went to be with Jesus on February 27, 2026.

She was born July 5, 1936 in Elkin, NC to the late James Marvin Caudle and Mary Gertrude Roberts Caudle.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Lee Vaden, sister Stella Caudle McGee and brothers James Marvin Caudle, Jr., Ed Caudle, and Bobby Joe Caudle.

She is survived by daughters Martha Harrell and Lou Ann Woerner (Richard), sister Ruth Caudle Johnson, many beloved nieces and nephews, and longtime family friends Cynthia Goble and Martia McNeill.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3 at Faith Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow at a later date in Lakeland, Florida. Townes Funeral Home is overseeing arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Senior Saints Ministry at Faith Memorial Baptist Church, 7450 Martinsville Highway, Danville, Virginia, 24541.
