Carl Wayne Adams

Carl Wayne Adams 86, passed away on July 7, 2025, at home.

Carl was born on March 18, 1939, to the late Zadie Yates Adams and Charlie Watson Adams. Carl was an active member of Providence United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Music Leader, Groundskeeper, and Head of the Pastor Parish Relations Commitee. He was a Mt. Airy charge treasurer. He loved blue grass and gospel music, and he loved his two lab dogs Antinio and Louann, who he drove the golf cart all over the farm with.

Carl is preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Watson Adams II.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Doris Farris Adams, brother, W. Terry Adams II, 1st cousins, Shirley Daniel (John) and Lacy Epperson, Jr. (Bonnie), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, whose lives he touched to make more joyful.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Townes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
