David L. Fuquay

David has been a lifelong resident of Danville and had been associated with Townes Funeral Home for over 53 years and at the time of his retirement was president and owner of Townes Funeral Home, Inc. and F. W. Townes & Son, Inc. David was a graduate of Averett College and Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science. He is married to the former Joyce Conner of South Boston, Va. and they have two sons, David Lee Fuquay, Jr. (now deceased) and Thomas A. Fuquay; and a daughter, Kristen J. Fuquay. David was a past President of the Southside Funeral Directors Association, an active member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, a member of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History and Roman Eagle Masonic Lodge No. 122.
